With this series I extended my investigations into the atmospherics of weather. I was influenced by Chinese ink paintings in creating open format vertical drops to reflect the constantly changing activity of wind, moisture and the effects of the sunlight in the sky. By combining two risky techniques, oil monotype with gestural applications of water-based gouache paint, I aimed to reflect the chance aspects of weather.
