Promised the Moon

In Promised the Moon, an exhibition curated by Dr. Ursula K. Frederick, artists were invited to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Apollo 11, reflecting on the historic event. 

 

In my series of five monotypes I reflected on my memories of having witnessed the moon landing event on a television set in Sydney in 1969 at the age of 21. I explored the fifty year gap in time between my early experience and my contemporary observations at Honeysuckle Creek and Tidbinbilla in 2019.
